CANDLE CARE
First burn guidance:
During the initial burn of your candle, it’s important to allow the soy wax to melt completely across the surface. This can take about 3 to 4 hours and ensures that the candle burns evenly in future uses while preventing tunneling.
Maintain the wick:
Trim the wick to approximately 0.6 cm before lighting your candle. This simple action promotes a steady flame, minimizes smoke, and extends the life of your soy wax candle.
Avoid drafts:
Make sure your candle is placed in an area free from drafts. This prevents the flame from flickering and ensures an even burn.
Limit burn time:
To preserve the natural fragrance and maintain the quality of the soy wax, restrict each burn session to a maximum of 4 hours. After this period, allow the candle to cool and trim the wick before relighting.
Proper extinguishing:
Use a candle snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax to extinguish the flame. This method reduces smoke and prevents hot wax from splattering.
Storage recommendations:
Store your soy wax candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. This helps preserve both the color and fragrance, ensuring your candle is fresh and ready for its next use.
Burn safely:
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep it away from flammable objects such as curtains or paper to ensure safe burning.
Know when to stop:
Cease burning the candle when approximately 1.3 cm of wax remains. This precaution prevents the container from overheating and reduces the risk of jar cracking.
Out of reach:
Ensure candles are kept out of the reach of children and pets to avoid accidents and ensure a safe environment.
Repurpose the jar:
Once the candle has been fully used, clean the jar and repurpose it for storage, as a planter, or as a decorative piece. This promotes sustainability and adds value to your space.
